Using AR to help customers visualize home appliances in their spaces, improving engagement and boosting sales.

The primary objective of this project was to assist home goods manufacturers in providing their customers with a seamless way to visualize how various home appliances would look in their personal spaces. Recognizing the challenges consumers face when making purchasing decisions, the aim was to create an immersive augmented reality (AR) experience that would enable customers to easily superimpose 3D models of appliances onto real-world images of their homes. This experience needed to be user-friendly and shareable, encouraging customers to engage with the brand and enhancing their decision-making process.

The implementation of the AR experience significantly improved customer interaction and satisfaction. Users reported a higher level of confidence in their purchasing decisions, as the ability to visualize appliances in their own environments helped to alleviate concerns about fit and aesthetics. Moreover, the shareability of the augmented reality experiences led to increased brand awareness and organic marketing through user-generated content. Home goods manufacturers utilizing this AR solution experienced enhanced customer engagement metrics, with notable increases in both website traffic and conversion rates, ultimately positioning them as forward-thinking leaders in the home goods industry.

S5D developed an innovative web-based image augmentation studio tailored specifically for home goods manufacturers. This platform allows users to log in, upload photos of their living spaces, and interactively place 3D models of home appliances onto these images. The solution also includes features for animating elements such as blinds and remotes, providing a more dynamic visualization experience. By enabling users to save and share their augmented reality experiences, we aimed to enhance customer engagement and foster a deeper connection between the consumer and the products.
