AT&T 3D Selfie Loot Drop
AT&T | PAX West
At PAX West, fans showcased their outfits and captured their movements to share their AR version of themselves within minutes.

In a successful effort to break into the gaming market, AT&T partnered with S5D to show the value of 5G technology to the attendees of PAX West.

Throughout the 3 day event, over 1600 captures were taken. Each user shared the experience 3 times on average, and the experience was shared a total of 4k times across all users.

Participants were given the unique chance to capture themselves in 3D inside the AT&T-branded volumetric capture booth, equipped with 22 cameras to capture every angle. Fans lined up to view a 3D screen showcasing an example output, and were prompted to complete a mobile registration. While inside the booth, users performed a dance or showed off their costumes in a 6-second capture. Within minutes, users received a link where they could access and share their AR experience. When opened, a branded barrel and parachute fell from the sky, revealing the user moving in 3D on a pedestal. From this experience, AT&T generated over 250 active leads within 3 days.
